Living in the archipelago
Only twenty people live at Öja year round. But they sure live nicely. Nearly all the houses on the island has a sea view as you can see by looking at these photos.
I'm with you on that William, Pat and Jack. We took a long walk while on the island and talked about how hard it must be to live here during the Winter. Might go back to see how that really is in a few months time.
A beautiful setting, though I imagine it can be quite harsh in a storm.
ReplyDeleteIt is rather too much isolation for me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a place! I don't think I would like to live all the time in a remote place, but I would be very happy renting any of these for a week or two.

ReplyDeleteI don't know, if they had adequate heating, a stocked library and cellar, I would quite enjoy the isolation.. for a while anyway 😉
