There's a book with that name, at least in its original Dutch language. The English title was The Vanishing. A great read. The movie is very good as well, it is called Spoorloos and it is a scary one. There's also a Hollywood version with Kiefer Sutherland and Sandra Bullock. All of that came to mind when I snapped these photos in Västerhaninge earlier today.
It does make for a photogenic subject! I'd heard of both movie versions of the story before.
