Brandbergen in Handen was part of the
million programme. The architect who designed the suburb was Gustaf Lettström. The name Brandbergen comes from a big fire here back in the 1940s when this was just a big forest. Around 12 000 people live here today. This is by far the ugliest tower block here and it really needs a face-lift!
It has the look of something put together in Central Planning. Rather harsh.
ReplyDeleteUh... can they put back the forest?
ReplyDeleteLego master builders at work right there :)

Yes it does look blah.
ReplyDelete12.000 people living in there? Something must be working right!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the inside is very attractive? I love those cozy looking windows with the dainty curtains. And the building looks massive, well made.
I like it very much, Stefan.
Thanks for the beautiful photos.
Indeed.
ReplyDeleteOh yes!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame Steffe, with a few embellishments and a coat of paint it could look much better... maybe :)
