This is a part of Nynäsvägen (Nynäs Road), in Handen. It looks a bit messy here and the reason for that is a new project called Haningeterrassen. The Haninge Terrace. It will take ten years to finish. Yep, ten years of construction work, smack in the middle of central Handen. Apartments, a hospital (maybe),a cinema and lots of stores of course. And roads and bus stops that will have to move. Pedestrian tunnels that will close, sounds very messy to me but it will of course give me a lot of photo opportunities in the coming years.
Ten years seems like such a long time. I will be looking forward to seeing your photos of this project. All ten years of them. :)
ReplyDeleteTen years and lots of $$$ I'll bet. I hope that it is wonderful and meets everyone's expectations. It does look like a typical spring construction site, too.
ReplyDeleteMy 'big project' is getting two bedrooms done over by June 1. Wish me luck. I hope I won't need this crane.
ReplyDeleteThat's a huge project Steffe, think my pet hate Elizabeth Quay might just beat you to completion :)
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteOur Parliament buildings are undergoing renovation and restoration work. Some of it's already been worked on, and won't be done until sometime in the next decade.
