Temporary Wetland
Hard to believe that I met a couple of cross-country skiers on this field just a couple of days before taking this photo at Nedersta. Now it is water filled, and as we got the thinnest layer of snow overnight even more so today.
Veckans värme och hastiga snösmältning har gjort många åkrar till små sjöar. Jag kan tro att nattens snöfall smälter fort och fyller på de vattensjuka markerna. Skidor bör alltså vara av modellen vattenskidor... ;-)
This is just not my image of Sweden. I expect it to be buried in white from November to late March. It must we well over freezing there. -16 here tonight and we're WAY further south.
Looks like spring has arrived already!

ReplyDeleteA thin layer of snow and now mud: that's means spring...
ReplyDeleteI remember a portion of our property, every spring, would do that, being lower than the rest.

ReplyDeleteLooks like April in Maine. I wish!
ReplyDeleteLooks more like something you trudge through than ski over now!
