The White Amazon

White Amazon I met the white Amazon in Handen, while on the bike. It was driving up Eskilsvägen towards the Haninge mall. I just had time to grab the camera and take a quick shot. The driver looked pleased. A couple of hours later I spotted the car parked at Poseidon's Square so I stopped for a little photo shoot. This is a Brenizer Method photo. Shot with the 85mm lens.

  1. A really great design. Still great today and that cannot be said for a lot of other cars.

  3. I'll never forget my baseball coach had one of these (the American equivalent of course) back in the 60s. I had never seen one before and thought it was amazing.

  4. I'd guess this goes back to the 50s or maybe 60s? And is "Amazon" the name of the model. I had two of the older Volvos...a 1958 and a 1960.

Looks like someone has taken good care of this car!

  7. It was called Volvo Amazon. Although first spelled Amason. This is the 1962 model. It was very popular and even used as a police car.

  8. I like when the owner/driver of a car collaborates and seems appreciative... It doesn't happen too often here!
