The horrible Spring weather continues. As I'm typing this it is 6C and it looks like it will rain on and off for a while. Yesterday when I took the Steel Horse over to the old tree it was overcast and windy, not surprisingly I was all alone at the tree.
That definitely does not sound like Spring to me!
ReplyDeleteYour old tree has been looking poorly and quite lopsided since that branch broke.
At some point the branch will break away and it will look more symmetrical again.
ReplyDeleteThis one is special thanks to the dramatic sky
ReplyDeleteI always get excited when I see shots of this tree. Looks a bit lonely and cold but that will change soon (hopefully).
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks beautiful in all weathers. Sky here looks a bit like that, we had particularly wet rain today.
ReplyDeleteIt's a brooding sky, and the tree contrasts nicely against it.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have spring last year in France... maybe it's your turn.
ReplyDeleteBut how much better to be there alone.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever shoot the tree from the grass, close up with a wide angle lens?
I like it that you visit your old friend in every kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteYou must be a mind reader Bob. I was actually thinking about shooting the tree (and a few other landscapes), with the wide-angle lens, it's been unused for a very long time.
ReplyDeletePoor old tree, bet its looking forward to spring even more than you are Steffe :)
ReplyDeleteThat is impossible I think Grace!
ReplyDeleteThe tree is dramatic. But I think I'd be in love with that dirt road , it's perfect for biking.
ReplyDeleteWere u biking to get there?
I arrived on my Steel Horse. The path here is only used by one cyclist (me). It is mostly used by horseback riders from the nearby Mulsta horse farm, and by locals out walking their dogs.
