I like this little yellow house. You will find it at Kvarnvägen (Mill Road), in Tungelsta. Many years ago a priest lived here. Since then at least two dentists have done the same. When I took a photo here nine years ago the door was brown. Today it stands out a bit more with that blue color.
ReplyDeleteIts a real lovely color combination. The more covered in snow. Thanks for showing.
ReplyDeleteA winter scene with colour... nice.
ReplyDeleteIt is a charming building with that true blue door. . .much better than boring brown.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Great colors.
ReplyDeleteThe blue door with a yellow house is evocative of the Swedish flag.
ReplyDeleteI really like the color scheme with the snow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great house and the blue door is perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteI always think of this color combination as being Scandinavian. The owners chose the perfect hues for this house.
ReplyDeleteI like this little yellow house too, it was made for a blue door!
ReplyDeleteAnd how patriotic in the colors of the flag!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful house. The blue door is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThose colours against the snow are fabulous, Steffe. What a wonderful shade of blue that is.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are great against the snow. Nice composition of your photo.
ReplyDeleteBlue and yellow excellent together, this was a much better choice than brown :)
Du får väl fråga damen i huset.
ReplyDeleteJag har en bild från 2005 och då ser det ut att vara samma hus som idag.

That is so beautiful it would make a lovely picture. Do you ever allow your photos to be sold as I would love to have this one on my wall. Reminds me of where my great grandparents used to live north of Karlstad: he was a priest and their house was larger than this but otherwise very similar.
ReplyDeleteAll of my photos are available via Flickr/Getty images, although the recent changes at flickr has made it hard to figure out the buying process. If you want to buy a copy and hang on a wall at home just make me an offer.
ReplyDeleteThe house was destroyed in a fire back in the 1980s. The new building is an exact replica of the older house. I had to ask around a bit for the facts.
ReplyDeleteHi, Thanks for your prompt reply! I have been looking round on the web because I have no idea at all of what to offer for your photograph. I am afraid that I still do not know as prices seem to vary hugely. I am afraid of causing offence by an ignorant offer so would be grateful for some guidance please. I looked on flikr but could not see how to buy there. Thanks.
