I spent most of last week coughing and snoring. Mostly from my bed. Had a few days with fever. That's never any fun. But when the worst was over I managed to walk over to the grocery store, and I figured that baking a pie would make me feel a bit better. So I bought 300 grams of blueberries and raspberries and this is the result. Probably the best pie I have ever eaten. Served with vanilla sauce.
You made this yourself? I'm impressed. Or maybe you were just delirious and actually bought it in a bakery? Nah, that's what I would do!
ReplyDeleteIt took one hour. Very simple recipe. Flour, sugar, baking soda, butter and some water for the pie crust. Crust in the oven for ten minutes. Then you add the berries, some sugar and the rest of the crust, put it back in the oven at 175 degrees for twenty minutes. The hard part is to get the quality photos to match the pie!
ReplyDeleteglad you're feeling better. pie is a tried and true curative.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious to me! The hardest part of pie making is the crust, and my husband makes a better one than me! And he doesn't use a recipe.
ReplyDeleteThe smell of baking pie would be enough to lift the lowest of spirits Steffe..when Aimee bakes it puts me in a very good mood haha!

ReplyDeleteI can't decide whether to compliment you on the baking, or extend my sympathy for having been sick, or praise your two wonderful photos.

Berries are a good choice; lots of vitamins to help you heal. Glad you are recovering.
