Two red nest boxes near Söderby in Handen. Shot this from a pedestrian bridge. No idea what type of bird the nest was made for. Most of my flickr photos are organized in sets. I realised that I didn't have a set for birch photos, so that has been fixed now!
Now that's a little odd Steffe, but I like them, their colour AND usefulness!

ReplyDeleteThis is a good photo, but curious. It appears to be in a rural setting, so why would someone put bird houses there?
ReplyDeleteMy theory is that the red bird houses are actually trail markers to help people find their way home in the snow. haha. Nevertheless, they look charming in the birch forest.

ReplyDeleteFooled you Jack. It was a rural place a century ago. What you don't see here is the busy road to the left and behind me. Or the big supermarket to the right where thousands of people buy food every day.
