A jubilee
A bit of a jubilee at the blog today as I took my 300th photo of the old tree two hours ago. I had to shoot it a bit different today as I wanted the moon in the photo. Over the years I have visited the Swedish Whitebeam in Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. I have seen the sunrise, watched the sunset. Met numerous people at the tree. Walked here during rain a few times. And twice during snow storms! It's been a fun six years. Hopefully I will make many more visits in the future. If you have the time, sit back and enjoy the slideshow.
This is great. I've come to feel like that old tree is just down the road from our house. Guess I like the ones best with the fog or with folks passing by. Hard to beat your many excellent portraits over the years though, Steffe.
Magical. I watched all the way through. I especially like the misty shots. It's interesting to see not only the tree but the different folks passing by and the crops in the field. I wonder, do you have a favourite out of all those?
If there was a tree like this on my way I would take hundreds of shots too! I like the pics of the tree covered in white, the misterious atmosphere of the foggy shots, and the ones it is full of flowers. Well done Stefan! :)
This has to be the most photographed tree of all time Steffe. Nice work. The sky in this shot is so pretty. I hope you gave the tree a little hug to thank it for being such a good subject haha!

This is beautiful, gorgeous photo.
ReplyDeleteA great old tree. 300 photos? Amazing.
ReplyDeleteRe your question on Cedar Key: A little bit of contrast, I think. It's not a very good shot but I tried.
:-)
Congratulations! A remarkable series of a beautiful scene.

ReplyDeleteI always look forward to seeing your photos of the old tree. Great series!
ReplyDeleteThe tree in winter snow is my favourite. Keep on taking them.
ReplyDeleteThe color in this one is absolutely beautiful! I can't believe you have posted 300 shots of this tree. I never get tired of it. :)
