This is Hagstugan at Skogs Ekeby. Three hundred years ago the foreman at the farm lived here. Today it is a summer house. For a much colder and winter like view of this cottage press here.

A summer house
I think yesterday was the warmest day of the year. Grace in Perth will of course laugh when I say that it was very warm (25C), when I decided to go for a little photo promenade around Tungelsta. This is Hagstugan at Skogs Ekeby. Three hundred years ago the foreman at the farm lived here. Today it is a summer house. For a much colder and winter like view of this cottage press here.
25C is certainly quite a bit warmer than the temperature in your winter photo.

It's hard to believe this cottage is 300 years old. A lot of work must have gone into preserving this wood building.

ReplyDeleteThe cottage is locally also known as "Kroken" or "Svängen. Translated that means the house on the corner. It is mentioned in the Parish register from 1712 so it is of course possible that it is even older. There are two other building, including a cellar on the same property.
