Say hello to Jacko. He is a very good looking White Cockatoo. I met him and his human outside the Brandbergen mall a couple of days ago. Jacko didn't say much, but he did like the attention he got. He was sitting on the shopping cart so I'm guessing that he was going shopping for seeds and fruits with his human.
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteA different kind of portrait for you . . .
ReplyDeleteLove it! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice. Cockatoos as common birds in Sweden. Here in Holland parakeets are now living in the wild. Some escaped and in the big cities there are now groups of more then (in amsterdam counted ) 10.000 birds . A stunning view to see them in the trees when you don't expect it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I know it is, but still comes to mind the question: is it real?
ReplyDeleteoh, he is a pretty boy.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that Jacko is a the "pretty boy"!
ReplyDeleteWe have a parrot refuge with about 1000 parrots of assorted species on our Vancouver Island in Canada. The cockatoos are always looking to be stroked and will cheerfully follow you around, if it means a rubdown from you.
ReplyDeleteTrivia fact: Parrots -- which include cockatoos -- are the only birds that can reach their beaks with their claws. Also, the only bird with two toes facing backward which is how they are so dextrous.
haha, how cute!
ReplyDeleteHe is a very pretty boy Steffe! Love the image and the title .
