This is how the old tree at Välsta looks today, (or yesterday on the 15th of December to be more precise). No sign of winter at all. I shot the second photo precisely one year earlier. By this time last winter I had already shot four snowy photos of the old tree. I think it's safe to say that we will have a green Christmas this year.
here, too.
ReplyDeleteThese seasons shots are treemendous!
ReplyDeleteReally they are great.
The exact same weather here in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. Last year at this time the lakes and ponds were frozen. This year we are still having rainy days.
ReplyDeleteLove this tree, in any season.
ReplyDeletei like the snowy shot , snow will come soon :)
ReplyDeleteSteffe, I seem to have posted a very similar post to yours today.
ReplyDeleteWe have here the same situation, but not such a beautiful tree.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that we've had snow in northern Arizona and you haven't had any snow yet. Of course I love that old tree in any type of weather.
ReplyDeleteDon't speak too soon Steffe! It is amazing though that the weather can be so completely different at exactly the same time! Strange things are happening!!
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather! Beautiful tree!
ReplyDeleteI always like seeing how your old tree is doing. The weather has been crazy all over the globe this year.
ReplyDeleteAn incredible difference. I do look forward to the old tree every year.
ReplyDeleteSame for us in Toronto! Glad the tree is well.
ReplyDeleteLots of drama in the tension between the cheerful land and sky against the bare, grim tree.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. It did actually snow this morning, but it was gone in one hour as it is still much warmer than usual.
ReplyDeleteWe had a few hours of snow yesterday, but none settled. I looked up the weather forecast for over Christmas and it looks as if we shall be really quite warm for the time of year.
ReplyDeleteSame here...
ReplyDeletesame here! but i dont mind it that much... although i do look forward to the snow, just not right now
