Time for another Different Seasons Diptych. This is the old estate Hesslingby, in rural Österhaninge. The left half of the diptych is an Autumn version that I shot a few days ago. The right half shows a
summer view from July of 2010. Back in 1640 there lived a Field Marshall here. Now, some 370 years later the estate has been turned into a couple of apartments.
I always enjoy your juxtapositions! What a gorgeous place!
ReplyDeleteYour do these so well Steffe, it's a little hard to choose, but I think I prefer Autumn, wonderful looking old house.
ReplyDeleteThat is so clever- and every season has its charms.
ReplyDeleteGreat contrast but the house is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteAnother super job by you! I'll take the summer shot - not looking forward to winter this year at all. Like the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteHvilken fantastisk bygning!!!
ReplyDeleteDet går nesten an å høre det historiske suset rundt stedet.
Vakkert er det også, å se dine årstidsfoto satt sammen på denne måten.
Ha en fin søndag!
Hilsen Gunn
I prefer the summmer one - the autumn side made me feel so melancholy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to present the contrast.
ReplyDelete1640! Man, the oldest house around here is from 1747. I always forget how young the USA is.
ReplyDeleteI love these "same place, different time" shots that you do. Do you have a method to ensure that you're standing in the exact same spot?
I have a good memory, and hopefully a good eye when it comes to composition!
ReplyDeleteBoth seasons are so beautiful and worth every moment of living them.
