The Girl In The Yellow Dress
There are countless meets every summer for the people in the unique Swedish sub culture raggare. I usually visit the one in Haninge, and this year was no exception. Two hundred or so vintage cars and around six hundred people gathered at Vegabaren for a few hours of fun. I took two hundred photos during my stay. This is Annika Jonsson. She will look familiar to some of you as it is the third year in a row that I have snapped a portrait of her. She was hoping to win her third title in five years in the category Best Greaser Girl. I will show you more photos from this event in the coming days.
I especially like the second portrait.
ReplyDeleteme too!
ReplyDeleteand she looks a little russian to me...
I think she has a good chance of winning the title Steffe, that dress is gorgeous, great portrait and so interesting to read about 'Raggare'!!
ReplyDeleteShe's lovely. Look at that hair shining in the sun.
ReplyDeleteNice portrait. I like her hair color and dress color too.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty in a 1950s-ish way, a bit Marilyn Monroe-ish... lovely!
ReplyDeleteGrease Yes!
ReplyDeleteShe's an absolutely stunning girl! It's a pity that there are a lot of shadows on her face in the first pic... A reflection screen can do miracles here.
I'm happy to report that Annika won her third title!
