It was a warm Summer day

Robin

The Mask

I believe that we all have a bit of an extrovert in us. When I spotted Robin in Handen a few days ago I figured him for one. He was on his way home from work. He works as a builder, and I wasn't all that surprised when he told me that he spends a few hours at the gym every week. But he said that the only reason he wasn't wearing a shirt was because of the warm weather.

  1. He has a very nice face Steffe, there was a time when people thought if someone had tattoo's they must be rough types, but that is just not true, it's just a form of expression. Nice post.

  2. Nice portrait. Lots of ink in his body.

  3. You will be hearing from a lot of admiring women today, Steffe.

  4. Wild thing...

I just can't stand tattoos. Obviously, more and more people disagree.

  6. I can imagine these faces when Robin is 70.

  7. I wonder what his mother could possibly be thinking. And ... how much did all this cost him!

And why are there 5 comments from males and only three from females?

Disclosure: I have a small tatt on my upper right arm.

  8. Oh, my. It's already quite hot in my attic office, but the temperature just got a little warmer. What a beautiful face on that boy.

  9. He's in great shape and proud of his tattoos. I'm not a fan of tatts but he seems like a friendly, easy-to-talk-to guy!

  10. Your subject looks very sympa... (nice, likable, friendly). I think heavily tatooed bodies like this can be a work of art. It must be a very difficult job. Nice post.

  11. Good looking guy, but creepy looking tattoos.

  12. I don't think I have ever met someone with only one tattoo. They all tell me that it is highly addictive. I have a friend who is 67 years old. He got his first tattoo 50 years ago, and still adds a new tattoo on a yearly basis!

  13. I'm with Irina on this one.

To me tattoos like this would be like wearing the same t-shirt for the rest of your life.

  14. I don't mind the small tatta: it is the full-body-plate that I find hard to get my head around. Yes, sometimes I mistake it for actual clothing.

And yes, as Irina says, what happens when the body beneath sags and wrinkles with age.

  15. That's a thought that I get myself when I see people with really big tattoos.
