The Black Beetle
On my way home from documenting a semi-abandoned farm the other day, I noticed this 1968 Beetle with a Lucky-13 Spade Skull theme. So I had to stop and grab a few images.
That's a really crisp photo. Though already discontinued, this car has left such an indelible mark that almost everyone in the world can recognize it. LOL @ "Goth car" and "pirate car." :D
une coccinelle pirate c'est assez rare ;))
ReplyDeleteThis car could be trouble. Did those two blondes in your portraits fall out of it?
ReplyDeleteSomehow a beetle and skull don't quite work for me
ReplyDeleteBack in 1969, Mr. Brattcat drove one of these (sans skull) when he came courting.
ReplyDeleteLook - a goth, tattooed VW Bug! I had a RED VW bug on my blog yesterday....
ReplyDeleteA nice one! I drove from Phoenix to Los Angeles in one of these many years ago.
ReplyDeleteInteresting find. Of all the models of VW, I like the Beetle the best.
ReplyDeleteI saw a motorcycle with the same motif just a few days ago.
Looks like there is a pirate in your 'hood!
ReplyDeleteIconic little car!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I like the persona of this. However, the angle of that rear wheel is a bit of a worry!!
ReplyDeleteI see you have graduated from tattooed people to tattooed vehicles ...

ReplyDeleteIt is so rare to see one of these now...
