This is
Fridhem in Tungelsta. One of the places I often return to with a camera. One reason for that is that the house was built by my grandfather Oskar Andersson back in 1922. You can read more about that in my post
American Timber. Another reason is that the house always looks good on a photo. The name Fridhem means peaceful home, but chances are that it will not stay peaceful for very much longer. Fridhem was sold last year and I think the developers are planning to build a bunch of big houses on the fields surrounding the old house.
Beautiful.. that soft bluesky is very pleasant.. nice composition..
ReplyDeleteTerrific shot. Love the blue sky, the white snow, and the red barn.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a barn, but you are correct about the rest!
ReplyDeleteA fairy-tale.
ReplyDeleteMay it continue to provide as much magic as it did for me tonight. Please have a good new week.

If I were you I would go back often to. Everything about this photo is so beautiful.
ReplyDeletemagnifique photo d'hiver et j'aime le contrasme entre les couleurs
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame for Fridhem to have been sold do a developer... Such a beautiful spot should be protected against the aggressive civilization.
ReplyDeleteWhat a picture-perfect house -in the snow it looks gorgeous but I'm sure it also does look wonderful in spring or summer. And to think that it was built by your grandfather, how proud can you rightly be!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing with the snow! Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute house!
ReplyDeleteThis is a Christmas card picture! I hope the beauty will not be destroyed when the building starts.
