Time

Summer vs. Winter

Theme day. Time. As you probably know by now I enjoy making diptychs showing the different seasons, so here is one of my better ones. Summer and Winter at the old tree at Välsta. And for good measure I added the slideshow with the rest of the Different seasons photos.

  3. This is so great, Steffe. I visit your blog regularly and now find myself sort of addicted to it. They say pictures that we take say something about our personality. Well, maybe? I'll drop by tomorrow again :)

  6. You are brilliant, and these are so wonderful. It is such fun to go through them over and over. You should consider publishing a book of them. Really! Your choice for today is perfection, and a super way to cover this theme day.

  7. Great job, Steffe. That slide show was a lot of fun, and while some of the "snowier" scenes were pretty, I prefer sunshine and greenery...guess it's good I live in Florida. It only snows a little bit here in Stone Creek as you have noticed!

  11. I love "that tree". What a great choice for the theme day. It's amazing how the time of year can make the same scene look so different.

Brilliant idea -- I will probably 'steal' it but will make sure to credit my source of inspiration.

  26. Thank you all. I wasn't sure if I could walk down to the old tree yesterday, (because of all the snow), so I used a diptych I made a few years go. But a few hours after I posted this yesterday I decided to see if it was possible to reach the tree without too much trouble. Press here to see the result of my effort.

  28. Steffe, I believe the appropriate comment on that slide show is "WOW!" I am still trying to figure out how you manage to take the same photograph from the same spot. I have decided that you must leave a marker on the spot.

  32. I'm late for Theme Day but I'm so glad I visited. This is so good, Steffe and thanks for including all the other photos. Your photo reminded me a little of one of the photographers at PhotoMenton who presented 10 different photos of the same tree, each taken from a different angle, in different seasons, different lights. Your work though on this diptychs and the others is superb. Bravo!
