This is
Mikaela. I met her outside the mall in Handen on Friday, an hour or so before I took that photo of the
male choir and it is very likely that she heard them sing at her school. The area was filled with graduate students. Traditionally
Walpurgis Night is when the students put on the white student cap that Mikaela is wearing. Another tradition is of course the gifts and flowers you receive. Red roses in this case. But the most important tradition is probably the start of the partying as proven here by Mikaela's blue bag from
Systembolaget. Skål!
great portrait - something I rarely do

Lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteShe is just great. Love her individuality. Super portrait as always, Steffe.
ReplyDeleteHow fun - graduating! She is pretty, another good portrait.
ReplyDeleteA new entry in my Pantheon of Haninge beauties... Another fine portrait from master Steffe!
ReplyDeleteYou should give it a go Peter. It's very addictive. I have nearly 300 portraits by now.
ReplyDeleteLove this shot and how you help us see the details.
ReplyDeleteI get the impression she doesn't care about the flowers.
ReplyDeleteProbably looks that way because she was in a hurry. A friend (boyfriend perhaps), was waiting nearby and I just took a few quick snasp before they walked away.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to find a pretty girl. Very nice portrait.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab photo, so many clues that you're unlikely to spot unless you're Swedish/Scandinavian. Thanks for giving us the back story :-)
ReplyDeleteAs Bfarr says you are the babe magnet! I would not have recognised her from the earlier picture.
ReplyDeleteIt was her eyes that gave her away yesterday. I had a close look at the photos just when I took them and zoomed in to see if her blue eyes looked good and they reminded me of someone, and half an hour later I remembered that it was her I had met on this day.
