Remember me?

Furda

Walking past the stable and horse pasture at Mulsta the other day ago I spotted a few horses enjoying their lunch. Apparently hay was on the menu on this day, who knew horses ate that? Anyway, this is Furda. An Icelandic horse. You have met her before. Back then she had to point out that she actually was a horse. Today I think no one would mistake Furda for anything but a horse.

  1. She has a compact, quiet dignity, this little horse.

  2. I feel I can smell that photo in its quite serenity...

  3. I was wondering if her coat grows that way naturally or whether she was shaved. She is nice little horse.

  5. What a difference between these shots, she's a beautiful horse. I have never seen one of this kind, but my knowledge on the matter is about zero...

  6. A breed we don't see over here, but interesting nonetheless. I hope the snow doesn't get too high with that shaved belly.

  7. I remember the other picture - she looks much more like a horse, here. A cheerful photo.

  8. I think I met Furda one day as her owner (who I don't know), was out riding her.

  9. Furda is a lovely Icelandic! We vacation on Washington Island, WI every summer and ride Icelandic ponies there. The Island has families of 3rd and 4th generation Icelandics. Interesting how people dispersed throughout the world!
