This is
Jennifer and
Ulrika, daughter and mother. I met them at the Christmas market at Tyresta on Saturday. They were selling their home made candles. Jennifer makes
gel candles, and her mother Ulrika, who has her own business, are into decorative
molded candles. None of the candles in their stall were lit, which was probably a good thing, as it was raining most of the day!
The folks in your last three pictures all look so cold, especially the poor musicians. I guess you can't heat plastic igloos. Maybe if these ladies lit some of their candles they could produce some heat. You Swedes are such a hearty lot!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are featuring mother-daughter combos. Candles are not easy to make; lots of hard work! Hats off to them.
ReplyDeleteun beau choix de bougies, j'aime beaucoup l'ambiance des marchés de noël.
ReplyDeletea beautiful selection of candles, I love the atmosphere of the Christmas markets.
I wish we had Weinachtsmarkt here (I don't know how to say it other than German!) Great photos of wonderful people.
ReplyDeleteCandles and Christmas really go together.
ReplyDeleteThose candles are just beautiful and so are the mother and daughter!
ReplyDeleteWell, they look like they are having a good time - and the candles are very colorful. Nice photo.

That's nice if mom and daughter can create a joint-venture together!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that they do this together. The candles are so colorful.
ReplyDeleteMothers and daughters that cook together stay together?
ReplyDeleteIs this familial cooking a Swedish thing?
Nice portrait!
I tried once making candles for fun and failed miserably, so I appreciate even more these ladies.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the rain, it really spoils these kind of markets.
I've only made candles the traditional way. and that was a few eons ago. And as I remember it, it was my grandmother who did all the work.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't very cold at all, but the rain made it worse.
No one is cooking here Jacob :-)
oooh I love candles! wow they are clever!
