Smooth Newt

A Common Newt, or as we call it a Vattensalamander. This one was sleeping in a garden soil sack when i woke it up. It wasnt amused. Bigger photo.

    Newts are nice and do lots of good for the environment. Or so I have heard and read. We don't have them here in SW Ohio. It is really wicked weather we normally have but this year has been super-wicked.
