From a recent Autumn walk at Vita Bergen, part of the Sofia neighborhood on Södermalm. This short alley is called Bergsprängargränd. That translates to drilling and blasting, btw, but I dont know more about the origin of the name. Two hundred years ago a lot of people working at the docks lived here. Today all the old buildings are protected and owned by the City. If you would like to rent an apartment here expect to wait a few decades before it is your turn.
Looks very nice in that typical Swedish red.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, a place many people would long to be.
ReplyDeleteThey disappeared for me but looked great for the 2 seconds that I saw them.
