Commuting should count as travelling I think. I took this photo in the Stockholm Metro system on Saturday. At some point I will start a photo project here as the underground is known as the longest art gallery in the world. On this day my commute was short, just the one station from T-Centralen to the Rådhuset station for an appointment. And then back one hour later.
Looks good with those stony tunnel walls.
ReplyDeleteGreat atmosphere down there,
ReplyDeleteYes, it counts as travel.
ReplyDeleteThe curved wall looks cave-like.
I'm interested in the color of the stone.....?? I guess I could look it up but you might know about it.
ReplyDeleteIt is supposed to look like the Atlas mountain in North Africa. The artist who designed the metro station is Sigvard Olsson anf he wanted a raw look.
DeleteWell, that makes a bit of sense geologically at any rate. would be surprised if there were red rocks in Sweden, but what do I know? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, the internet is good. I see that Olsson said the same color would be found in the rocks in the mountain below the Stockholm Court House. So now we know. I suppose.
